We help with daily tasks respectfully and gently.

Personal care services include physical assistance and/or prompting and supervision with direct care tasks based on the resident’s needs. These services do not include tasks performed by a licensed health professional.

We assist with essential daily living activities, including:

Eating
If needed, the home may provide eating assistance as follows:
  • Assistance with eating and feeding as needed
  • Accommodations for pureed, soft, low-salt, and other special diets
  • Monitoring appetite and providing cueing to encourage nutritional intake
  • Ensuring meals are visually appealing and diet-appropriate (e.g., diabetic, BRAT, cut small)
  • Monthly meal planning with three meals and snacks daily
  • Respecting food preferences and planned meals
Toileting
If needed, the home may provide toileting assistance as follows:
  • Comprehensive support with toileting
  • Incontinence care for bowel and bladder
  • Scheduled toileting: morning, between meals, nighttime
  • Perineal care to maintain hygiene
  • Encouraging toileting every two hours
  • Preventing skin breakdown is a top priority
Walking
If needed, the home may assist with walking as follows:
  • Assistance with walkers, canes, and wheelchairs
  • Routine and as-needed mobility support
  • Encouraging daily walking and range-of-motion exercises
  • Physical assistance is available with 1–2 staff, especially during the day
  • Transferring and positioning
Transferring
If needed, the home may provide assistance with transferring as follows:
  • Support transferring in/out of bed, chairs, toilets, and showers
  • Use of Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stand equipment per the care plan
  • Regular monitoring of transfer ability
Positioning
If needed, the home may provide positioning support as follows:
  • Repositioning every 2–3 hours during the day and night
  • Encouragement of independent movement when possible
  • Promoting strength and endurance through cueing
  • Prevention of pressure injuries through consistent repositioning
Personal Hygiene
If needed, the home may assist with hygiene tasks as follows:
  • Support with grooming, shaving, washing, oral, and denture care
  • Cueing, setup, monitoring, and total assistance as needed
  • Tasks may include brushing teeth, washing face, body hygiene, and hair care
Dressing
If needed, the home may assist with dressing as follows:
  • Help with dressing, undressing, and changing clothes at any time of day
  • Cueing, setup, monitoring, and full assistance as needed
  • Encouragement to choose their own clothes
  • Assistance with socks, pants, shirts, undergarments, belts, shoes, glasses, hearing aids, splints, braces, etc.
Bathing
If needed, the home may assist with bathing as follows:
  • Bathing/showering assistance 2–4 times weekly or as preferred
  • Bed baths as needed based on resident preferences and tolerance
  • Full bathing assistance from cueing to total support
  • Tasks include wetting, cleansing, drying, applying lotions, and dressing
